Abbey Theatre Visits Presentation College 13 January 2016
As part of the school’s 1916 Centenary Commemoration programme, members of the the Abbey Theatre company visited our First Year students with a special monologue performance of Me, Mollser by
Ali White.
This compelling, funny and poignant play is based on the character of Mollser, a fifteen-year-old consumptive who appears in The Plough and the Stars by Sean O’Casey.

The play introduced the students to a strong willed and passionate young woman coping with consumption against the backdrop of the 1913 Lock-Out and the Easter Rising.
Students were delighted to have the opportunity to attend this very special performance.  We thank the Transition Year students involved, who assisted the crew on the day.
